OzWIT 2009: Australian Celebration of Women in ICT

The 11th Australian Women in ICT conference will be held at Monash University, Caulfield Campus on December 1, 2009. OzWIT has a mission of informing, sharing, community building, and re-energising those involved in the recruitment and retention of women in information technology. This is an opportunity for people from all aspects of ICT, teaching, industry and academia to come together to share knowledge, learn, network and have fun. To make the day a success however, we need you to contribute and participate in the program. Please consider how you might contribute.Presentations, panels and papers (unrefereed) will be accepted around the themes of:

  • Changing the culture, not just ‘working around’ the existing culture
  • Programs in action, e.g.
    • Curriculum enrichment
    • Mentoring initiatives
    • Industry initiatives
  • TAFE and secondary school programs

Key Dates:

  • On-line Submission of presentation and panel proposals: NOW OPEN ON THIS SITE
  • To submit first Register as a user (see left). After confirmation of e-mail address,  online submission button will be made available.
  • Accept/Reject Notification: 11th Sept. 2009
  • Registration Opens: 15th Sept. 2009
  • Main Conference: 1st Dec 2009
  • Conference Dinner: 1st Dec 2009
